A Trad Jazz band composed with musicians who are in their prime. Their performance is based on a traditional New Orleans Jazz style, But moreover, they pursue their original sound, by introducing wide-spread elements of music.
Michiko "Riko" Ogawa participates as the 2nd generation piano player of the band.

In 1992, New Orleans Rascals visited Sydney for celebration of Geoff Bull's 50th birthday. At his "Happy Birthday" party, the Rascals were very touched when Lee Gunness sang "In The Garden". Thus she sings Gospels as her best repertory. One year later, she visited Osaka for the first time with Geoff Bull. She appeared at a church, "Kobe Jazz Street" and other several concerts with the Rascals. Her rich voice just like a
prima dnna filled Japanese audiences with admiration. Her outstanding singing at Satsukiyama Church is recoded on
"NOR-CD010". The Rascals have wished to play with her again since then. Their wish is granted eleven years after.
