Topsy Chapman
An excellent Gospel & Jazz singer from New Orleans, performing all over the world, not only in the USA but also in Europe and Southeast Asia etc. She also works energetically in composition and arrangement of musicals.
Visited Japan in November 1995 for the concert with the Rascals at Aiphonic Hall, Itami, and won the applause of the whole house. Visited again in 1998 with "The Chapman Singers " (a female vocal quartet). Toured Japan including the concert at the same hall. Sang mainly the repertory in the twenties. The audiences were impressed deeply in contact with the roots of Gospel.
